Sobre o Curso
Through this short course, trainees will be made aware of the importance of safety at work in the organisations where they work. The topics cover legislation, responsibilities and general concepts. They will learn how to identify hazards and risks and finally they will be introduced to practical aspects of safety procedures relating to PPE and labelling.
It enables employers to fulfil their obligation to raise awareness of safety at work.
Traininghouse is certified by Dgert in area 862 (Safety and Hygiene at Work), counting towards the annual continuous training obligation (article 131 of the Labour Code).
It also makes it possible to comply with the provisions of article 20 of Law 102/2009 of 10 September “Workers must receive appropriate training in the field of occupational safety and health, taking into account the job…”
It is also valid for updating the professional title of Technician or Senior Technician in Occupational Safety.
Informações
The training takes place in an asynchronous e-learning format, where study is managed by the learner, with no set time for activities. After registration, the learner has 30 days to complete the course.
Access to the course is immediate, but your enrolment must first be validated by our services. Therefore, if you enrol outside office hours or at weekends, you will need to wait for the password to access the course, which is sent during our opening hours (Monday to Friday from 10am to 7pm).
Once the passwords have been sent by our team, the trainee can start the course and has 30 days to complete it.

Objectivos
General Objectives
This course aims to raise awareness among participants about the importance of complying with safety, hygiene, and health procedures implemented in the organizations where they work.
Additionally, it seeks to alert managers and supervisors in organizations to the need for a correct policy of safety, hygiene, and health at work.
Specific Objectives
- Identify three general regulations related to occupational safety
- Know how to consult occupational safety legislation
- List responsibilities within the scope of occupational safety
- Understand the importance of fulfilling responsibilities
- Clearly identify occupational safety concepts
- Distinguish between the concepts of hazard and risk without doubts
- Differentiate between PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and PPC (Personal Protective Clothing) and list their functions
- Clearly identify the most common PPE and PPC
- Distinguish the functions, colors, and shapes of the main safety signs
- Explain the importance of labeling
- Identify the two main regulations involved in labeling
- Identify the labeling of hazardous substances
- List the importance of safety data sheets

Metodologias
Training Methodologies and Techniques
The entire course takes place asynchronously on the Moodle platform. The action is energized through diverse interaction made possible by the platform (forums, videos, interactive activities, links, etc.).
In each module, all resources that the learner should consult and study in order to successfully complete all proposed activities are made available. Activities can be performed according to their availability, with no set time.
Assessment Criteria and Methodology
Assessment can be diagnostic, formative, or summative, based on the activities proposed in each module, which may consist of questions in the discussion forum, diverse e-activities (interactive content, practical exercises, formative activities, etc.), assignments, or tests.
Grades are expressed on a scale from 0 to 20 points. Each learner is approved with a minimum grade of 10 points.
Upon accessing the platform, the course organization and evaluation plan are provided, clearly indicating all activities to be carried out, the type of assessment, and its weighting.
At the end of the training, each of the participants (learner, instructor, and coordinator) fills out a training action evaluation questionnaire to assess its quality according to various parameters
